Christopher Reed

Aguada, Puerto Rico USA

Level V Captain Rank Qualified Sailing Instructor / Assessor

Hello, world. I am a sailor, an adventurer, a lover of the open sea, and a believer in the transformative power of new horizons. My name is Christopher Reed, and for the past 20 years, I've navigated the world's waters, guided by the stars and the relentless call of the ocean. My love for sailing was kindled in my childhood, navigating Chesapeake Bay and the Mississippi River with my father. This passion for the water led me to the Coast Guard, where I served aboard the USCGC Bertholf and the USCGC Cheyenne, and later at the Air Station Barbers Point. My roles varied from helm/lookout to advanced damage control, radioman, and more, giving me a deep appreciation for the many hands it takes to steer a ship. Serving as a 2nd class Avionics Electrical Technician, operating as the Navigator, Radioman, and tactical systems operator for the C-130H Aircraft. The missions were as diverse as the vast Pacific Ocean, from search and rescue operations to drug interdicition and monk seal rescue.
