Level IV Captain Rank Chief Sailing Instructor / Assessor

Rated 4.87/5 by 3 students
I have sailed since 1984, proficiently raced one design J-24s and Thunderbirds in and around the Salish Sea in BC. Two of us Shorthanded a Shuttleworth Super cat 63 across the Indian Ocean and I've sailed many smaller boats in the Whitsundays, Hong Kong and Japan. For most of my life, 40 yrs or so, I owned small manufacturing companies where teaching skills for safe and effective operations meant the difference between failure and success. Teaching sailing brings the 2 together, and by all accounts it is working well. When not sailing I ride motorbikes and in 2023 a small group of us rode 1000 km across the Himalayas from New Delhi to Srinagar in the Kashmir. This was like going back in time, 2 weeks over 4000 meters on gravel roads that in some cases were being built as we rode.

Practical Competence of Bareboat Charter Master Rank
Peter was great - and even though I have been sailing for years, he brought a lot of new material to the table and has made me a better "all around" sailor. Difficult concepts seemed easy and his explanations of vectors - plotting Leeway and current was brilliant!

Practical Competence of Bareboat Charter Master Rank
Peter is a fabulous instructor, precise, knowledgeable with great patience. He is great to work with and fun to be around - but serious when necessary. I believe any student who has the opportunity to study with Peter will be better for it! Highly recommeded
