As an experienced instructor from a different sail training organization, I really like several things about the NauticEd system: 1.) The on-line course training material is very, very good; 2.) Navigation Rules are taught and tested right up front, first thing, as they are in USCG certified training; 3.) The training is done on-line at the student's convenience, and valuable time on the water is used developing "skills" and not wasted with "knowledge" training you can easily get on-line or from a book.

discussion provided excellent examples of what might be considered "gray areas". Link to the discussion of the incident at anchor was also a great lesson

It was very challenging as the pictures sometimes were not clear specially on the lee . Anyway it is good to fail so you have more of a learning experience on the time you pass the test

Sea talk testimonials

I was able to complete the Skipper Rank prior to chartering and the information I accumulated from the Nauticed courses was great. The 7 courses I have taken ALL were helpful, especially the Catamaran Sailing Confidence course.
