Very clear and emphasis firmly placed on common sense and safety.
lots of great explanation
As an experienced instructor from a different sail training organization, I really like several things about the NauticEd system: 1.) The on-line course training material is very, very good; 2.) Navigation Rules are taught and tested right up front, first thing, as they are in USCG certified training; 3.) The training is done on-line at the student's convenience, and valuable time on the water is used developing "skills" and not wasted with "knowledge" training you can easily get on-line or from a book.
This was a much more helpful lesson, compared to the other free one.
Great explanation and examples to further understanding.
discussion provided excellent examples of what might be considered "gray areas". Link to the discussion of the incident at anchor was also a great lesson
It was very challenging as the pictures sometimes were not clear specially on the lee . Anyway it is good to fail so you have more of a learning experience on the time you pass the test
Detailed explanations, good examples with images and figures.
Simple explainations that are easy to remember.
thorough
Great graphics.
Very entertaining and not boring at all The examples made it easy to understand the topics and kept it interesting throughout the course
Above: Two sailboats battle it out in Auckland Harbour, New Zealand. You'll learn quickly who has to keep clear of the other.
